spelunking
It would be a great honor to hold space for you and guide you to experience for yourself what is hidden in your subconscious. I think an IST practitioner is like a spelunking guide. I prepare you, walk with you to the entrance, shine light into the crevasses and then delve into the depths, with you. Staying steady and centered throughout the journey so you can really open up and see.
IST training
These techniques are so powerful because IST practitioners are required to work on themselves for many years before they can start seeing clients. They know their own consciousness deeply and have experienced the inner landscape of many other people. This builds a not-born-yesterday attitude and the ability to hold stillness and clarity even when profoundly intimate or traumatic episodes are revealed.
My background is varied, but throughout is a thread of following inner knowing and devotion to ever deepening experiences of silence, vision, cosmic light and love. Building on my work as energy healer, teacher and counselor I am delighted to share with you the modality of the Inner Space Techniques. I have been working with IST for over ten years in 100s of sessions as both client and connector. It is part of my ongoing study at the Clarivision School of meditation and spiritual awakening where I am continually awed by how much more there is to discover in subtle realms.
Exploring the labyrinthine workings of my own and other’s subconscious to discovering both difficult moments and the precious parts of ourselves hidden beneath that. Shedding layers upon layers of false selves to reveal the incredible love, compassion and endless joy I embodied as a young child and now can rest in and share with others.
previous work
My spiritual work is guided by a strong desire for truth, direct experiences of energy and awakening. I have been blessed with incredible teachers from a variety of traditions who showed me how to connect with myself and divine presences. My journey has lead me to play with the flows of Tai Chi, become a Reiki Master, work with Plant Spirit Medicine, chant in Arabic with Sufis, recite ancient mantras in Sanskrit and Telegu, share in the raising and education of dozens of children and travel the world.
When I am not meditating I love to dance, paint, garden, ferment foods, harvest herbs, play the ukulele and share quality time with my daughter, friends and cats.
formative influences
I was born in Germany and lived there and in Austria until I was 14. I love to learn and understand how things work which lead me to study Physics at Reed College, Massage and Reiki in my 20s, Herbalism at the School of Forest Medicine and with Cascade Andersen Geller as well as the Landmark Curriculum for Living. Other topics I have explored in depth include astrology, nutrition and healing diets, democratic and early childhood education, anti-racism and permaculture. I love to teach and have offered classes in Reiki, herbalism and botany, Tai Chi, art journaling, parenting in the pandemic, shibari, fermentation and meditation. My parents showed me the joy of traveling in Europe and the US which I have continued by visiting Australia, Nepal, China, Mongolia, Russia, Peru, Mexico and India. Inspired by and committed to healthy communities I worked at People’s Food Co-op, co founded and ran the Village Free School and lived at the Tryon Life Community Farm.
